Big Legends Grace The VI Consortium
Last evening if you hadn't checked the live on "The Virgin Islands Consortium" you definitely missed out on something extraordinary. Where else would you find all these talented individuals in one room. Daddy Jones Which is a living legend in the VI has been in the business for 30 years, and has paved the way for the artists that we all know and love today. He will be gracing the stage on December 30th @ star light Lounge and night club, you guys should check it out. Pumpa another big name in the VI was also in attendance. They discussed their music, their influence to other artists in the industry and the people of the VI. We learned how they became the living legends who walk among us today. Later on in the show they were joined by "Blackest" from The Fusion Band, "Swanks" from Big Band and Adam O. They touched on several topics such as jouvert on St. Croix, unity between the island and more. They spoke of the positive and negative aspects in the music industry. The Music industry in St. Croix and even the Virgin Islands isn't up to par. It was amazing to see musicians uplifting each other, this is how we need to be as a community. Each of the artists got to share their views on how they can improve their craft as well as the music industry. They are more than just musicians, they're trying to improve the community, and our way of thinking and viewing things. We really should take into consideration what these artists have to say, because they spoke out on things that affects them as well as us their loyal supporters. Check out your local artists and support them more, let them get to higher heights.
